The second of this sequel series has Mavra and Nathan trying to get to the part of the Well where they can stop things from going bad. This involves a lot of travel with companions, some of whom struggle greatly with the species and gender shifting involved. Better than the first one but middle seriesness bigtime. 3 out of 5
