A novel of political shenanigans in England. Archer is himself very familiar with dodgy politicians, as he is one. This takes as a basic starting point four politicians entering parliament at the same time and level and follows them from there.
Much scheming, conniving and all that sort of thing as they try to get to be that Downing Street resident guy.
