The third Nicole Shea books finds her still stuck on Earth until General Canfields finds out this is by executive order. She concocts a plan to get Shea and Murai into space on a huge mile long globular spaceship to enable testing of the spaceplane she was working on and to smoke out what is actually going on.
Which seem to be both the conservatives who want her dead and aliens with ulterior motives as an interstellar mission leads her to confront her adopted family and many changes.
