Interzone 218 - Andy Cox

A good issue that finally made it out in 2008 (just), with Hannu Rajaniemi the highlight. A Chris Beckett special is reasonable, and there's a cornucopia of reviews of Stargate, Terminator, Gareth Powell's The Last Reef, Gene Wolfe's an Evil Guest--which apparently is nothing like Lovecraft or Blade Runner despite cover hyecrap and is lame. Stephen Hunt's Kingdom Beyond the Waves is apparently full of adventure as the cover claims, though. Matthew Hughes Template, and a couple of Mike Resnick's John Justin Mallory fantasy detective novels are looked at. Wall-e, The Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, The Mist, Hancock - and Mummy 3 = very bad.

There's an interview with sexbot Stross.
