Asimov's 329 - Gardner Dozois

A whole wodge of book reviews by PDF including Congreve's Passing Strange, and Alastair Reynolds Turquoise Days, and the intro column is about the US becoming a nation of risk averse wussbags (which tends to get copied, even in diluted form elsewhere), mentioning space shuttles and vaccinations etc. among other things.

A really fine issue, even if the non-fiction is not too exciting, averaging 3.75, the majority of the good stuff being frontloaded, with Skillingstead the standout.

ASIMOVS329 : The Bellman - John Varley
ASIMOVS329 : Dead Worlds - Jack Skillingstead
ASIMOVS329 : Nimby and the Dimension Hoppers - Cory Doctorow
ASIMOVS329 : Bernardo's House - James Patrick Kelly
ASIMOVS329 : Morlock Chili - Lawrence Person
ASIMOVS329 : The Bird of Paradise - Daniel Abraham and Susan Fry
ASIMOVS329 : Listen to Me - David Marusek
ASIMOVS329 : The Path of the Transgressor - Tom Purdom
