People's exes can come back to haunt them, but most people don't have theirs in the form of a fallen angel buried in a coffin in the bottom of the ocean, as Femme Noir does.
He gets out, and wants to see his kid, and Femme Noir, and Father and detective colleagues have to try and deal with it, and with the son she hadn't told him about. Throw in some supernatural powers, the ex-wife and usual attitude of an adolescent towards an absentee father, and plenty of biffo.
Again Femme Noir is the best character in these, I think.
