If you were a supervillain, and your archenemy was Rabid Vegetarian Man, you could use this with some held open eyelids and restraints as a highly entertaining deathtrap.
There are some reviews by Bill Congreve of the more analytical bent, and some fantasy reviews by Kate Forsyth that are considerably more gushing.
