Battlefield Earth - L. Ron Hubbard

This is so bad it is laughable. I mean, this is Ed Wood Plan 9 from Outer Space bad. The plot has holes you could drive either a Vogon Constructor fleet through, or perhaps even one of the Galactic Patrol's anti-matter planet weapons. To be avoided at all costs. Just rubbish. You are far better off with a novelisation of the V tv series, or something, for this sort of story.

please thats rubbish

this book had a fantasic story line that had you itching about what was going to happen next.the unsuspected twists and problems that faced the characters and character had you worried when they arrived and proud when they were solved.also a fantastic ending in which the author actually took the time to clean up the loose ends.

a recommended read

the comment above was obviously the result of bad pr on L Ron Hubbard being the founder of Scientology

Recommended only if this is the only book available. :)

Sure, he became a scumbag scientologist, so if you are one, and upset about this, tough.

This book is utter crap. Only unsuspected if you are 8.

That is comparing it to a few thousand other books I have read, nothing to do with some stupid made up faux-religion. :)
